Your Wheel of Fitness is used to represent a helicopter view of the different areas of fitness through all areas of your life as they are today.  The segments are represented by the spokes of the wheel.  As you move through each phase of your life, you have more options in each segment and through the decisions you take (consciously or unconsciously) the segments will become more defined.

As we discussed in our radio show, Dawn (Holistic Health Coach) has defined all your fitness into the following segments:

  • Exercise
physical and mental – both are equally important, especially as we age and we naturally lose brain cells and muscles that are not exercised hence ‘use it or lose it’
  • Nutrition / diet
1st class protein – The First Commandment of Eating is this: “Thou shalt not poison thyself.”
  • Sleep / rest and recuperation
is when the body and mind detox and heal and get ready for the next day
  • Water
our body and brain is primarily made up of water – it decreases as we age, hence we wrinkle, so hydration – with water – is key to health
  • Sunshine
    so called the happiness vitamin
  • Air
fresh air, not the air in offices, houses, bedrooms etc. which is more stale and toxic than a city, it’s about getting out into the great out doors
  • Peace of mind
and equanimity is important to our sense of well-being.

Each segment will be made up of a number of specific elements for your fitness.

Please be aware that this Wheel of Fitness is an example and that you will draw your own and fill in your own segments.

Once you have drawn your own Wheel of Fitness, enter onto it all your OWN areas that need your spiritual focus in your life as your life is today.  Don’t enter past areas or those areas that are not in your life today or future areas that you want to bring in.
