1. Start the day by sipping warm water, lemon, ginger and cayenne. Your skin, kidneys, liver and heart will thank you for this amazing drink.  Lemon is a stimulating, alkalizing drink; it’s also an antiseptic so keeps the bloodstream clean, it aids poor circulation, improves digestion and provides a daily boost of Vit C.  Cayenne pepper is the best herbal blood circulation stimulant, it thins and keeps the blood pumping and lowers pressure.  Ginger is warming, combats dyspepsia and relieves wind.  It cleanses the skin by stimulating perspiration and therefore, aids the removal of toxins.  It is also a diuretic so cleanses the kidneys too.
    .
  2. Increase your intake of raw living foods (that means fresh, ripe, organic, seasonal foods) to at least 75% of your food intake.  In the spring we need to consume high water content rich chlorella based foods packed with enzymes, minerals and vitamins.  So swap cooked breakfasts for a smoothie, swap stodgy lunch time sandwiches for a lovely mixed salad or raw muesli and swap heavy dinners for lighter steamed, baked or raw vegetables.  This is a great time to practice raw food combining to loose the winter tummy bloat, get rid of bad breath and dull skin tone.
    .
  3. Keep hydrated with pure water (not coffee, fizzy drinks or alcohol which are all dehydrating!). Many overweight people have excess fat because they misunderstood their body’s cry for water with the need for  more food.  Simply pinch your skin to check how hydrated you are, if it doesn’t pings back into place, you may be dehydrated.
    .
  4. Extend your life by eating less. Adopt the practice of not eating for one day of the week, every week (Mondays tend to work best for this practice).  Instead drink vibrant green chlorella filled vegetable juices that alkalise your pH.  Or eat a mono diet of just one type of fruit all day, one day a week.
    .
  5. Juice fast for 1 – 3 – 7 –10 day depending on your experience and needs on something like a mixture of citrus juice, olive oil, ginger and garlic or potassium broth – or treat yourself to a supervised juice feast – it’s more motivational together – remember, vegetable juices are building and rejuvenating, fruit juices promote a faster cleanse.  Knowing this will help you manage the healing crisis depending on your aims and objectives.
    .
  6. Make sure you’re regular – how regular is regular, well, if you’re serious about this, book yourself a course of colonics before, during and after each detox because 70%+ of ailments doctors deal with could be eliminated simply by  improving your colon care. That means our 70% of our health issues are in our hands! To improve your health, start with the health of your colon.  To keep toxic matter moving out in a timely manner simply blend a cup of water or nut milk with a spoon of physillim husk or ground flax seed (linseed) daily.  Optional – add bentonite clay, powdered greens like chlorella or spirulina.  For sweetness add prunes, figs, or apricots and drink this tasty shake daily after your warm lemon.  It is also a great weight loss drink too because it’s filling!
    .
  7. Skin brush for 5 mins every morning before showering – in alternating hot and cold water as a great way to support our largest organ eliminate toxins as well as exfoliate dead cells that clog up our pores.  It stimulates our circulation and improves skin tone and will make you glow  Consider doing a liver / kidney / gal bladder flush.  The liver does over 50 functions for us daily so is one of our hardest working organs and needs our support.
    .
  8. Clear out your kitchen AND bathroom cupboards of chemicals. Use natural cleaning products for both you and your home.  Ask yourself ‘is this a product I would eat’? if not, challenge why you’re putting it on your skin or your hair.  Use natural cleaning products instead like lemon, vinegar and bicarbonate of soda to save yourself a fortune as well as improve your health!
    .
  9. Take up rebounding for 20 min. a day (I use a mini trampoline which is great for all ages and conditions (except bone cancer)) and effectively supports your lymph glands to drain away toxins.
    .
  10. Finally, get grateful for all the riches you do have.  50% of the world live on less than £1 a day.  If like me you have a healthy source of raw fresh food to eat, a warm safe place to live and and you’re loved and able to give love, then count yourself truly blessed, I do!
